
The Survey Association represents the UK's private surveying companies. The Survey Association, known as TSA, is a trade association formed in 1979 to give a focus for the private sector businesses in land and hydrographic survey. Today, TSA has over 130 companies in membership as full, associate, supplier, academic or affiliate members directly involved in the survey business. The membership combine to employ over 2500 people and had a turnover in 2007 of over £250 million. TSA runs its own full time secretariat based in Newark-on-Trent, and is run by an elected Council of Management.
